The piece, in full.
Lumen places a substantial glass surface on a base that appears to draw a single line through the room. The rectangular top is cast rather than float-made, giving its edges a cool green density and a faint internal movement.
Below it, two solid-walnut trestles intersect around a shared longitudinal rail. Their geometry remains visible through the glass, turning the structure into part of the table’s visual field.
Small bubbles and soft edge variations belong to the casting process. They are reviewed for structural integrity and retained when they give the surface depth without interrupting use.

MATERIAL / METHOD
What it is made from, and how.
MATERIALS + FINISH
Low-iron cast glass; solid American walnut; leather isolation pads; stainless-steel internal connectors.
Hand-polished glass faces and softly textured edges; natural oiled walnut with a low sheen.
PRODUCTION METHOD
The top is kiln-cast in a single mould, cooled over several weeks, inspected, then ground and hand-polished. Matched walnut is shaped into paired trestles and joined around the central rail with housed timber connections.
Final levelling is completed with concealed adjustable feet before the glass is seated on shaped leather isolation points.
BEFORE AND AFTER DELIVERY
Specify it well. Keep it for longer.
Customisation
Offered in two standard lengths and with clear or smoke glass. Walnut may be specified in natural oil, a light smoked tone, or a blackened open-grain finish.
Because each top requires a dedicated mould and cooling schedule, bespoke sizes are assessed individually.
Care
Clean glass with a lint-free cloth and non-ammoniated glass cleaner. Do not place very hot objects directly on the surface.
Dust the walnut with a dry soft cloth and renew the oil finish locally when the surface begins to look dry.
Delivery
Specialist delivery and a minimum four-person installation team are required. Floor loading and access must be confirmed before dispatch.
The glass and base travel in separate museum-grade crates.
