OBJECT NOTES
The piece, in full.
Ledger is drawn as a sequence of readable loads. Four tapered ash legs are connected by side rails and one low rear stretcher; a continuous woven-wool sling forms the seat and rises into the back.
The sling yields slightly under weight while the curved top rail supports the shoulders. Its upholstery can be removed for repair without dismantling the timber frame.
The chair is narrow enough for dining settings yet considered for longer conversations, with a gently reclined back and a softened front edge.

MATERIAL / METHOD
What it is made from, and how.
MATERIALS + FINISH
Solid European ash; high-twist wool textile; vegetable-tanned leather tabs; stainless-steel upholstery bars.
Pale soap-finished ash; mineral-grey woven wool with copper saddle-stitched tabs.
PRODUCTION METHOD
Ash rails are selected for straight grain, milled, and joined with housed mortise-and-tenon joints. The frame is dry-assembled, hand-shaped, then finished before upholstery.
The wool sling is cut on grain, reinforced internally, and tensioned over removable steel bars with leather locating tabs.
BEFORE AND AFTER DELIVERY
Specify it well. Keep it for longer.
Customisation
Ash finishes include soap, natural oil, light smoke, and blackened oil. Choose from the KORVAE wool and leather library or provide a contract textile for approval.
A fire-retardant upholstery specification is available for hospitality projects.
Care
Vacuum upholstery at low power with a soft brush. Blot spills without rubbing and consult a textile specialist for persistent marks.
Re-soap the timber periodically in heavy-use environments. Replacement slings can be ordered.
Delivery
Delivered fully assembled in pairs. Contract orders are blanket-wrapped or crated according to destination.
Felt and hard-floor glides are included.
