A freestanding pale-ash lattice carries three precise rows of ivory limestone shelves without a conventional outer case.

OBJECT NOTES
The piece, in full.
Field is a room-scaled timber grid with deliberate interruptions. Four full-height uprights define three equal bays, while three limestone shelf rows create a calm horizontal rhythm across the open lattice.
The shelves stop at different bays, producing open and dense zones for books, objects, records, or samples. Every connection remains readable and can be released for repair or reconfiguration.
Although freestanding, the system includes discreet wall restraints for public and seismic environments.

MATERIAL / METHOD
What it is made from, and how.
MATERIALS + FINISH
Solid European ash; honed ivory limestone; concealed stainless-steel connectors; adjustable metal floor feet; wall-safety restraints.
Pale soap-finished ash; warm-ivory honed limestone; satin stainless-steel details.
PRODUCTION METHOD
Ash uprights and rails are selected for straight grain, machined, dry-fitted, and joined as numbered modular sections. Limestone shelves are waterjet-cut, edge-honed, and seated on concealed supports.
The complete system is trial-assembled, loaded, numbered, and dismantled for transport.
BEFORE AND AFTER DELIVERY
Specify it well. Keep it for longer.
Customisation
Available in two-, three-, and four-bay widths. Ash may be soap-finished, naturally oiled, lightly smoked, or blackened; stone may be warm limestone, pale travertine, or client-specified after testing.
Shelf positions can be planned for a project but must follow the approved load diagram.
Care
Dust timber and stone with a soft cloth. Wipe stone spills promptly and avoid acidic cleaners.
Recheck wall restraints after relocation and do not exceed the supplied shelf-load schedule.
Delivery
Delivered flat-packed as numbered structural sections with specialist assembly and levelling.
Wall restraints are fitted by the installation team using fixings appropriate to the substrate.
